Program Description:
The goal of this program is to provide doctoral scientists or physicians the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to practice clinical chemistry in a hospital or industrial setting. Since trainees may have different backgrounds, the structure of the program is flexible. Each trainee will rotate through all sections of the laboratory at the Massachusetts General Hospital and attend daily lectures, conferences, and chemistry rounds. The trainee will assume progressively greater levels of responsibility for technical, management, and selected medical projects/problems. Opportunities are available for research in a number of laboratory areas. At the end of the fellowship, trainees are qualified to seek certification by the ABCC or equivalent Board. |
